1. Application Overview

Komey is a mobile application designed to deliver a seamless user experience with core functionalities that require specific device permissions to operate as intended. This technical document outlines the purpose and usage of all requested permissions, in compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

2. Requested Permissions and Usage Justification

All permissions requested by the Komey app are strictly limited to supporting core user-facing features, and are only accessed with explicit user consent. Below is a detailed breakdown of each permission:

• Camera:
  Permission is requested to enable users to capture high-quality photos and videos directly within the Komey app for use in core features (e.g., content creation, profile customization, or sharing). Camera access is only activated when the user initiates a capture action, and no background camera recording or unauthorized image capture is performed. All camera data is processed locally on the device unless explicitly shared by the user.
• Photo Library (Album):
  This permission allows users to select existing photos/videos from their device's album to upload to the Komey app, as well as save media created within the app back to their album. The app only accesses the specific media files selected by the user (not the entire photo library) and never accesses the photo library without prior user authorization. User data from the photo library is not shared with third parties without explicit consent.
• Microphone:
  Microphone access is required to record audio for video capture, voice notes, or real-time voice communication features within the app. The microphone is only activated when the user explicitly triggers an audio/ video recording action, and no audio is recorded or stored in the background. All recorded audio data is controlled by the user and is only used for the intended feature initiated by the user.
• Network (Internet Access):
  Network permission is essential for the Komey app to connect to secure remote servers for critical functionalities, including user account authentication, data synchronization, content loading, real-time communication, and feature updates. The app supports both Wi-Fi and cellular data connections to ensure consistent service availability. All network traffic is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS) to protect user data in transit.

• Permissions are requested incrementally – each permission is only prompted when the user first attempts to use the corresponding feature, rather than at app launch.
